Category Lead, Catalysts

 
to our Procurement team in Amsterdam, Netherlands or other key Neste sites.
 
You will focus on end-to-end category management of Catalysts and work closely with our operations and R&D teams in all our global refineries in Porvoo Finland, Rotterdam Netherlands and Singapore

Your role in our team / in creating a sustainable future
 

  • Manage the full end-to-end Catalyst procurement category, encompassing strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management;
  • Develop and execute cross-functional category strategy that align with business objectives, focusing on TCO, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and innovation;
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide strategic procurement advice;
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement;
  • Analyze catalysts markets relevant to our core spend categories;
  • Evaluate specific companies within these markets, conducting tailored analyses to understand sourcing alternatives, supplier profiles, cost structures, and offerings.

 
 
The best combination to succeed in this role
 

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering on Chemical, Metal, or a related field and/or Master's degree/MBA on business.
  • Extensive experience managing commercial business relationships in either sales or procurement in the sphere of chemicals, metal market or similar. Preferably prior experience of process industry, chemical industry or oil refining.
  • Strong negotiation, contract drafting, and relationship/partnership management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken and preferably local language of the hiring location.
