Category Lead Logistics (EMEA)

to our Logistics team in Hoofddorp.

You will focus on procuring and managing various modes of logistics. In this job you will work closely with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.

  • Work as part of Logistics team, procurement to significantly develop and manage Neste’s logistics footprint in the region.

  • Create and implement and successful strategy for continuous development.

  • Procure, contract and manage relationship with logistic service providers.

  • Develop performance management of the logistics service providers.

  • Work to optimize the procured logistics and oversee the operations.

  • Understand and commúnicate cost-to-serve in various logistics modes.

  • Liaise and collaborate with multiple internal business units locally and globally.

  • Keep up-to-date knowledge of Industry Standards/General Terms and Conditions within the logistics industry.

Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role

  • Relevant Bachelor degree with at least 6 years of working experience in sourcing and managing Logistics Service Providers, and in establishing new logistics set ups from scratch and capable of "out of the box thinking".
  • Proven track record of success in this field and deep understanding of logistic processes required in this environment.

  • Good understanding of future trends in logistics and analytical thinking.

  • Strong analytical capability, strong interpersonal skills and ability and willingness to work in intercultural environment.

  • Strong stress tolerance and confidence needed to define and, if needed, defend strategic ideas.

  • Fluent written and spoken English, other languages are considered as an advantage.

  • Hands-on manager able to utilize their knowledge and experience to build a successful logistics model for this developing business.

  • Good understanding of procurement processes.

  • You are a self starter, with strong entrepreneurial behaviour. You take ownership, you are resilient and you have a safety-oriented mindset.
