Land Logistics Manager Europe

We are looking for a Land Logistics Manager Europe to join our Land Logistics Europe team in Hoofddorp/Amsterdam.

We have an experienced team of experts working in Land Logistics. Our team is responsible for managing and developing Neste’s land logistics in the European markets. We also create and implement the strategy that enables continuous development and growth.

Your part in Neste journey 

In this role, you will work as part of the Land Logistics unit to significantly develop and manage Neste’s land logistics terminal network in Europe. Your main responsibilities include

• Create and implement a successful strategy for continuous development and growth

• Contract and develop relationships with terminal service providers

• Develop performance management of the terminal service providers

• Work to further develop the terminal service supplier management

• Develop accurate market information of the land logistics and practices in the Area to provide insight to Senior Management

• Liaise and collaborate with multiple internal business units locally and globally

• Keep up-to-date knowledge of Industry Standards/General Terms and Conditions for relevant products

You will work closely with the internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of business units with land logistics capabilities and offerings. 

Responsibilities include successful negotiations with terminal and logistics companies and ensuring efficient logistics supplier management through efficient follow-up procedures and leading corrective actions as appropriate. You will play a key role in developing Neste’s land logistics along with bringing in-depth knowledge and experience of land logistics markets in the Area. 

You will report to Team Manager Land Logistics Europe.

The best combination of experiences, skills and background is 

• Relevant university degree with at +5 years of working experience 

• Relevant experience in liquid terminals and logistics for this industry (including flammable liquids, tallow and greases)

• Experience in managing terminals and in the development of new business from scratch and capable of "out of the box thinking"

• Proven track record of success in this field and deep understanding of logistic processes required in this environment

• Good understanding of future trends in land logistics and analytical thinking

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability and willingness to work in intercultural environment

• Strong stress tolerance and confidence needed to define and, if needed, defend strategic ideas

• Fluent written and spoken English, other languages are considered as an advantage

• Hands-on manager able to utilize their knowledge and experience to build a successful logistics model for this developing business
