Payroll Manager

 

to join our HR team in Hoofddorp, or in Rotterdam, the Netherlands

 

In this role, you will manage our payroll operations, vendors in the payroll field and development of these, as well as provide advice in payroll matters.

Your role in our team / in creating a sustainable future

 

  • Owner of compliant, agile and efficient payroll processes execution and development within the Netherlands, and some other European countries where Neste has a smaller team, including preparing the payroll runs
  • Managing the payroll partners in the NL and the smaller Neste countries, and constantly developing the process and cooperation
  • Maintaining and administering payroll related records, reporting and audits
  • Ownership, active contribution and project management of payroll, or related compensation & benefit, development project, such as pension and benefit schemes, global mobility, tools and systems. You are also welcome to contribute in developing our total rewards package
  • Ensuring compliance in payroll and keeping up to date with the changes in relevant regulation and rulings
  • Proactively providing expertise to the HR team and managers in all payroll, tax and related compensation & benefit matters, and answering those inquiries
  • To support our growth investment, managing global mobility and business travelling payroll related processes, and supporting in M&A

You will work closely with our  teams and managers as well as HR colleagues and HR hubs. 

Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role

  • Broad and up to date knowledge and experience of payroll processes and practices, as well as related legislation

  • Ability to work on operational level with payroll runs and on process level to develop our ways of working

  • Deep knowledge of payroll system (AFAS)  and readiness to learn the rest of our system landscape

  • Understanding of international payroll situations and ability to guide in those

  • Passion for excellence and professional payroll management

  • Fluency in spoken and written English & Dutch

  • Responsible attitude and safety-oriented mindset
