We are looking for you,

Category Lead, EPCM, Engineering, Procurement

to our Procurement team in Espoo/Porvoo Finland. 

You will focus on end-to-end category management of EPCM and Engineering globally for all Neste’s locations. In this job you will work closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Investment Projects colleagues in Singapore, Rotterdam and Finland.

The job is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki. We organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas.

Your role in our team

  • Manage the full end-to-end EPCM and Engineering procurement category, encompassing strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.

  • Develop and execute category strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on cost optimization, risk mitigation, and innovation.

  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide strategic procurement advice.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement.

  • Monitor supplier performance, manage supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the categories.

  • Collaborate with legal and risk management teams to ensure contracts comply with relevant policies and regulations.

  • Drive cost savings initiatives and track realized savings against targets.


Keys to success in this role


  • Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive results

  • Extensive experience managing complex procurement categories encompassing EPCM and Engineering, consistently driving significant value and efficiency improvements.

  • Strong negotiation, contract drafting, and supplier management skills.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
