We are looking for you,

Customs Manager

to our global Group Tax and Customs department located at Neste headquarters in Espoo.

The primary focus of this role is the global development of Neste’s customs management and compliance. In this job you will work as a part of Neste’s dynamic Customs team as an in-house customs and trade compliance expert supporting our business operations and collaborating with various internal functions.

Your role in our team

  • Develop and optimize efficient global customs and trade compliance processes, ensuring adherence to internal standards and evolving regulatory requirements

  • Manage global customs brokerage performance

  • Identify and implement solutions to create customs duty savings

  • Manage customs audits, including negotiations with the authorities and settling of disputes/claims

  • Develop and maintain customs and trade compliance training and instructions

  • Develop cooperation and provide advice and support for key departments within Neste, e.g. Logistics, Sales and Operations, Supply Chain Management and Finance


Keys to success in this role

  • A recognized Master's or Bachelor's degree in the area of business management, law or other customs & international trade relevant field

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in customs and trade compliance

  • Fluency in English

  • Strong teamwork skill with ability to work independently

  • Analytical thinking, can-do attitude, development mindset and skills as well as good negotiation and communication skills are appreciated
