Development Manager, Payments

Marketing & Services acts as Neste’s channel for bringing sustainable products and services to the end customers. Neste has a network of close to 1 000 stations located in Finland and Baltics. In addition, Marketing and Services serves customers with direct deliveries and services in aviation, shipping and industrial sectors. Data, digital solutions and automatic convenience will play an increasing role to support our customers on their path towards a greener future.


In your role, You will be at the forefront of our payment and forecourt solutions development, working with payment acceptance, issuing and station data solutions in close collaboration with Neste’s Marketing & Services business units, as well as our external partner network. Your role is integral to delivering our targets and providing industry-leading payment and customer experiences. As a Development Manager, Payments, you will be at the forefront of our payment solutions development. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading strategic projects and improvement initiatives related to payment and forecourt solutions
  • Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Neste payment and forecourt solutions
  • Evaluating new opportunities, proposing and defining improvements 
  • Overseeing payment operations and participate resolving potential payment-related incidents
  • Collaborating with peers and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

 

The best combination to succeed in this role

  • Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in payment solutions or software development, such as issuing, acquiring, mobile/eCommerce, or transaction processing
  • Skills: Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivery, excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, the ability to think big-picture with architectural design thinking, and in-depth technical knowledge of card payments and infrastructure
  • Education: A Master’s Degree in a relevant field, such as business or technical
  • Language: Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Finnish or any Baltic languages is a plus

 

Other strengths we value

  • Knowledge and experience in working with WAN networks, including design and optimization
  • Experience in managing end-to-end testing processes / hands on payment software testing
  • High sense of ownership and the ability to work also independently
