We are looking for an

Environmental Specialist

to join our corporate environmental team, based in Espoo, Finland.


In this role, your duties will cover Neste operations in Europe, Asia and USA. The corporate environmental team is part of a larger HSSEQ organisation. Our team is responsible for coordinating environmental performance and compliance assurance of Neste operations. We also work together with the Neste Sustainability organisation and contribute to M&A operations associated with the growth of Neste business.


Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are

  • Coordinating and developing Neste Environmental Compliance Reporting System in the area of conventional pollution prevention and control 
  • Coordinating and developing environmental performance reporting for purposes of Neste Sustainability Report
  • Supporting development and updating of the Neste Environmental Management Principle 
  • Working together with environmental teams at sites and operations globally 

You will work closely with broader HSSEQ teams within a global matrix organisation and report to the Head of Group Environmental Compliance. Some travel to different Neste locations will be required.
The best combination to success in this role


  • Strong academic background in Environmental management, compliance assurance and performance follow-up.
  • Proven track record within environmental management for large industrial facilities
  • Relevant Master's level degree, for example: Environmental engineering, environmental science, environmental law 
  • 5-10 years experience with environmental management and compliance assurance as applied in industry
  • Experience in driving improvements and working with multinational teams
  • Capability of understanding industrial processes would be a great benefit

The recruitment process will include interviews and possible aptitude assessment. The first interviews are preliminarily scheduled to take place on weeks 7-8.
