Financial Accountant, Treasury
Our Treasury Operations and Accounting team in Espoo is looking for a finance professional, who thrives at the intersection of complex financial instruments, IFRS compliance, and process automation. We have an energized and collaborative team of treasury experts working with liquidity management, payments, financial transaction back office and accounting & reporting tasks. Our work combines understanding of treasury processes, accounting and reporting with accuracy and desire to develop.

Your role in our team
As a key member of the Operations and Accounting team, you will own the integrity of financial reporting for financial transactions. This isn't just about recording trades—it's about:

Expert Ownership: Leading Treasury accounting and reporting (IFRS & FAS), including areas under hedge accounting.

Strategic Analysis: Monitoring and interpreting monthly finance results to provide actionable insights to the treasury and finance teams and senior leadership. Participating as a key stakeholder in the quarterly and annual reporting processes.

Process and Systems Leadership: Acting as the L3 Business Process Owner and SAP GRC Specialist to ensure our digital and process infrastructure is airtight.

Advisory: Serving as the go-to expert for Group entities on treasury accounting standards and practical issues.

Evolution: Investigating and implementing new analytics and reporting cases as our global footprint expands.
We work with versatile treasury related tasks closely with other Treasury and Risk Management teams, Global Finance organisation, banks and auditors to ensure efficient and accurate treasury back office operations. The job can be tailored to some extent based on the candidate’s competence. You will report to the Head of Treasury Operations and Accounting.

Keys to success in this role

A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting with several years of experience in a corporate treasury or banking environment.

Deep knowledge of applicable accounting standards e.g. IFRS 9.

Technical Edge: You are comfortable navigating in a system environment and have experience e.g. from working with SAP. Experience in using the treasury system Quantum is an asset.

The Data Mindset: You don't just report data; you look for ways to optimize it. Experience with liquidity forecasting or management of FX positions is a significant plus.

Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting treatments to non-finance stakeholders.
