We are looking for you,

GL Process Controller

to our General Ledger team in Global Financial Services Department in Espoo, Finland.

As a General Ledger Process Controller you’ll be responsible for maintaining a holistic overview of a legal entity, being responsible for its General Ledger and Financial Reporting activities. We are also acting as a single point of contact for legal entity related inquiries and audits. In addition we coordinate the period end closing, perform IFRS & LGAAP accounting and analyze the monthly financial actuals.

You will work closely with GL Process Controller colleagues, Global Financial Services' teams, Group Consolidation, Business Finance, Regional Finance Management and both internal and external auditors. Furthermore you will report to Manager General Ledger. We work in hybrid mode with three days in the office. Your role in our team
 

  • Maintaining accurate financial records by recording transactions posting journal entries, reconciling accounts and interfaces
  • Gathering data and preparing reports and analysis for group and statutory reporting purposes    
  • Managing monthly, quarterly and annual closing process
  • Maintaining a holistic overview from financial accounts
  • Acting as a single point of contact in legal entity related financial topics and answering queries and questions 
  • Assisting audits and tax preparations
  • Analyzing financial accounts and cash flow movements
  • Performing internal controls
  • Identifying and initiating automation and digitalization potential in General Ledger and financial reporting processes.

     

Keys to success in this role
 

  • Experience in General ledger and financial accounting
  • Experience in SAP FICO and Microsoft tools 
  • Experience in Finance close management and Journal Entry processing tools are seen as assets
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Finnish
  • Applicable education, e.g. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or in similar fields
