Global Process Owner, Record To Report in Finance

to join our Finance Center of Excellence (CoE) team in Espoo, Finland.

 

As our Global Process Owner for the Record to Report (R2R) area, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of finance at Neste. You will drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in our current R2R processes focusing on Asset and Inventory accounting and General Ledger. Simultaneously, you will have the opportunity to expand the R2R scope to a holistic end-to-end level, integrating broader finance areas into a unified framework. You will work closely with the other Neste process owners, Global Financial Services, Business Finance, Group Business Processes, IT and other key stakeholders across the R2R end-to-end process.  

 

In this role, you will join a team of finance experts who centrally manage, maintain and develop our core finance processes, systems and structures. Our team consists of professionals in Global Process Owner, Business Solution Manager and Finance Excellence Manager roles. You will report to the Head of Finance Center of Excellence.

Key responsibilities for the Global Process Owner 

 

  • Manages digital, scalable and standardized finance processes, as well as optimal solution maintenance, setup and development within the current process scope to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Ensures that the processes and solutions align with business expectations, objectives and overall strategic goals.

  • Drives process area maturity; design and documentation, ownership, risk management, and performance management activities based on common ways of working and process management models.

  • Defines process metrics, monitors and analyses process performance - securing a no-surprise culture. Ensures adequate root cause analysis of deviations and implementation of necessary changes.

  • Drives process automation and continual improvement initiatives in cooperation with the larger process management community, ensuring efficient and value-adding outcomes.

  • Creates and prioritizes a long-term development roadmap for the broader R2R domain.

 

The best combination to success in this role

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or another relevant field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in finance or business transformation roles.

  • Subject matter expertise in the Record to Report process area, including ability to understand IFRS requirements.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher is considered as an asset.

  • Solid understanding of finance-related IT systems, such as SAP FICO, Journal Entry and Finance Close Management tools, Anaplan and HFM.

  • Ability to absorb and understand complex finance processes and dependencies.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.

  • Self-driven work ethic with a development mindset.

  • Fluency in English.
