We are looking for you,

Group Controller

to our Group Consolidation team in Espoo.

You will focus on Neste’s external financial reporting and work closely with Neste’s global finance organization, investor relations and auditors to ensure reliable and timely financial reporting.

Our team of seven experts is responsible for Neste’s annual and interim financial statements, accounting principles and has a key user role responsibility in the consolidation system Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). Our work combines accountability, cooperation, and the desire to develop and renew. You will report to the Head of Group Consolidation. Together with you and your expertise, we can make an impact today and keep our promises for tomorrow.

Your role in our team

  • Prepare Neste’s financial statements, interim reports and trustworthy financial reporting and analyses together with the team

  • Participate in EU Taxonomy and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive reporting by taking over Group Consolidation’s reporting responsibilities on them. Done in collaboration with the Sustainability team. 

  • Take ownership of other group reporting areas e.g. treasury, revenue, key figures, share-based payments and/or employee benefit obligations, intercompany items and internal profit eliminations.

  • Analyze income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and notes to ensure correctness of the group financials

  • Participate in development projects

  • The job can be tailored to some extent based on the candidate’s competencies.


Keys to success in this role

  • Few years of experience in financial accounting, group accounting or background in auditing

  • Experienced or skilled in IFRS and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive 

  • Skilled in accounting and Excel

  • Experienced in consolidation and accounting systems (e.g. HFM and SAP FICO) and other group reporting systems

  • Understanding of finance processes

  • Applicable education (e.g. M.Sc. Econ or similar)

  • Finnish and English language skills (we prepare materials in both languages)

  • Ability to steer own work with a high degree of independence under tight deadlines

  • Proactive and analytical way of working

  • Responsible attitude and safety-oriented mindset
