We are looking for you,
Head of Chemicals and Catalysts Procurement
to join our Neste Procurement team. The position can be located in Espoo, Finland or Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
You will focus on leading a team of end-to-end category leads and -specialists in diverse chemicals and catalyst categories, such as pre-treatment chemicals, product and process additives and catalysts. In this job you will be working with many functional stakeholders and be a full-time member of the Neste procurement leadership team.
Together with your team, you will collaborate on strategic sourcing initiatives, drive supplier performance, and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processes. You will support and motivate your team to bring extraordinary spend discipline and saving projects home day-in-day-out, while managing key supplier relationships and entire supplier portfolio in the spend area.

In this role, you will

Manage the end-to-end chemicals and catalysts category team in procurement, responsible for the supplier selection, spend, savings, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management across our global refineries and sites, biggest in Porvoo Finland, Rotterdam in Netherlands and Singapore.

Co-develop and coach executable category strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on cost optimization, risk mitigation, and innovation.

Proactively engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide strategic procurement advice.

Draft, review, and oversee complex supply contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement.

Manage operational procurement for the area with frame agreements, order channel setups and transactional purchasing activities.

Strong experience in developing and leading chemicals/catalysts, supplier management and people, or similar roles with commercial responsibilities.

Understanding of global market trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging sourcing opportunities.

Team management experience, preferably for 3-5 years in sourcing/procurement or in other commercial/technical fields in chemicals.

Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
