We are looking for you,
Head of Environmental Safety
to lead Neste’s corporate approach to environmental management, performance and compliance assurance.
You will focus on coordinating and providing corporate level support for sites and operations of the Neste Corporation globally including: oil and renewable refineries in Finland, the Netherlands and Singapore; renewable feedstock supply and logistics operations in the USA and retail site networks in Finland and Baltics. Additionally you would lead a corporate environmental team experts.
The job location is at our headquarters in Espoo, Finland.

More about the job
We would expect you to have a solid experience in coordination of environmental programs in the process industry, preferably in the chemical industry, and to have a pragmatic environmental impact driven approach to environmental management. With this approach you would succeed to guide our decision-making.

Ensuring compliance under environmental law in different jurisdictions

Guiding environmental investment optimization under the EU BAT concept and IED related legislation. Providing support for reporting under the EU CSRD legislation.

Management of environmental liabilities and risks of our sites

Team leading and developing environmental expertise globally

Environmental auditing, assurance and continual improvement activities

Support for evaluation of environmental aspects in strategic investment projects Environmental due diligence in M&A projects

Advocacy support and liaison with regulatory stakeholders in Finland
The best combination to succeed in this role

15+ years track of versatile experience in Environmental Management and implementation of Environmental Law and administrative permit procedures in the industry

Proven track record within environmental management for large industrial facilities

Relevant Master's level degree E.g. in Environmental engineering, environmental science, environmental law

Experience in international collaboration, driving improvements and working with multinational teams

Capability of understanding oil refinery operations or other industrial processes

Good communication and negotiation skills in Finnish and English
