We are looking for you,

Head of Funding

to join Neste’s Treasury & Risk Management team in Espoo. This role will enable you to network with various internal and external stakeholders, and use your analysis skills and passion for financial structures to build a solid foundation for implementation of Neste’s performance targets and strategic aspirations. 

 

Your role in our team

  • Maintain a strong and efficient capital structure to enable and support Neste’s growth and key projects. Analyse different financing alternatives and their effects on the capital structure, credit rating and risk positions.

  • Maintain diversified sources of long and short term funding. Maintain and develop tools for forecasting and monitoring the liquidity needs. Confirm that liquid funds are sufficient to cover the short term business needs.

  • Lead development of Neste’s green finance framework.

  • Manage credit rating related discussions.

  • Support business units and subsidiaries in internal funding needs. Find optimal solutions to provide the funding. 

  • Approve asset financing arrangements.

  • Manage the framework for interest rate risk management. Negotiate any interest rate hedging arrangements. Provide internal advice on the cost of capital. 

  • Maintain relationships with financial institutions, debt capital market investors, credit rating agencies and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Build decision making material for senior leadership and Neste Board of Directors. 

  • Active participation in development projects. Ownership for maintaining and developing the processes, tools, reporting and presentations that relate to funding.

Keys to success in this role

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field with experience from a corporate treasury or banking environment.

  • Strong background in funding, minimum +5 years of work experience.

  • Business oriented, positive team player with willingness to provide advice and support according to fast changing and varying business needs. 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to co-operate and interact comfortably in an international environment.

  • Analytical mindset with a proactive, reliable approach under pressure.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.  

  • Verbal and written proficiency in English.
