We are looking for hourly employed 
Hourly Employee, Terminal Coordinator
to join our Logistics & Operations EMEA Terminal Operations team in Espoo, Finland. 


The position is fixed-term until the end of April 2023. The weekly working hours would be ideally around 15-25 hours per week. After the induction period partial remote work is possible. 
The team is development and performance oriented that contributes together with all our stakeholders by supporting the business and focusing on the end to end (E2E) approach in everything we do.
Your part in Neste’s journey 


You will be a team member in the Logistics & Operations EMEA Terminal Operations team and work very closely with the Operations team, which coordinates all operative and logistics matters in renewable and petroleum product and raw material shipments as well as takes care of customer service functions. You will be a team member involved in the day to day execution of raw material purchase operations associated mainly with shipments by trucks, rail and containers to our storage locations across the whole Europe. This position requires accuracy in daily operations, passion for problem solving and working with numbers. One of the key targets in this role is to manage truck, rail and container related data entries to our systems by focusing on operational efficiency, digitalization, and automation initiatives.

You will work closely with internal counterparties in Espoo and other locations. Our work combines accountability, cooperation, and the desire to develop and renew.
Main responsibilities in this role

  • Responsibility for daily transaction data of supply shipments by truck, rail and containers for term and spot contracts. The main purpose is to independently coordinate and manage the daily terminal data transactions, as well as daily reconciliation between various systems
  • Working closely with our Operations, Logistics Planning and Vendor Settlement Coordinators to ensure the timely and correctness of the daily data for efficient supplier reporting and invoicing. The role may also include tasks in the areas of sustainability documentation, quality tracking, internal and external reporting and also helping in other daily operational tasks
  • Solving different issues such as terminal and supplier related matters promptly
  • Helping to find ways to improve and automate the processes as well as managing, analysing and reporting the transaction data

Keys to success in this role

  • The best combination of experiences, skills and background is 
  • Suitable education, e.g. ITC, business (accounting, logistics) or similar
  • Relevant knowledge or experience of oil industry and/or cargo operations workflow, experience with truck, container and/or rail deliveries is a plus
  • Responsible and independent approach to your work
  • Fluent basic ICT skills and experience in ERP systems, especially SAP-system
  • Pays attention to details; accuracy in daily operations is a must, the candidate also must enjoy working with numbers 
  • Strong team player attitude and excellent collaboration skills 
  • Fluent English and Finnish skills, both verbal and written 
  • Ability to effectively prioritise tasks to meet deadlines, which may sometimes require flexibility to work past normal business hours  

This position requires excellent cooperation skills, ability to interact and work in an international environment (different cultures, values and time zones) as well as an open mind (attitude) towards work tasks and work environment.
