We are now seeking a Lead AI Engineer to join our Digital and AI Excellence team to execute the next phase of our ongoing AI strategy execution.

Key Responsibilities

We have moved beyond POCs and the prototyping phase in our AI journey with global AI solutions in production use with a strong digital foundation and a future looking strategy established. Building on this momentum you will play a leading role in accelerating this journey.

You will be responsible for 

• Hands-on design, development and deployment of end to end AI solutions.

• Lead and oversee design and implementation of AI solutions in collaboration with our partners.

• Participating ideation and concepting workshops with our stakeholders to scout opportunities and design use cases for AI solutions.

• Collaborate with IT, data management and other digital and AI teams in Neste to develop synergies and alignments for global AI solutions.

• Provide inputs to Nese wide AI architecture and infrastructure capabilities.

• Coach and guide other team members on best practices and AI concepts.
  
  
  

What we expect from you

Most of all we expect you to have passion in developing your competencies in working with Large Language Models and Generative AI stack building upon your current background in following areas.

The best combination of experiences, skills and background is:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field. 

• 8-10 years of strong software engineering background with at least 4 years of experience in developing and deploying AI powered solutions.

• Proven experience on at least one production grade Gen AI solution using RAG approach from design to deployment.

• Thorough knowledge of one of the Gen AI frameworks either Langchain or Llamaindex or similar.

• Strong programming experience in Python, SQL, text processing, search and ranking concepts.

• Hands-on experience in cloud platforms, compute, and container infra components in Azure or GCP.

• Extensive dev/ops experience with CI/CD and Infra as code tools.

• Basic exposure to classical machine learning and data science concepts.

You have worked on solutions from ideation to deployments and operations with a continual improvement and product mindset approach. Problem solving using your design and software engineering skills is your sheer passion. You are enthusiastic about the latest Gen AI stack and LLM advancements and eager to learn more through hands-on explorations. You are self-directed, proactive, and a believer in an open and collaborative mindset. Overall, your skills and experience provide you with an authoritative confidence in designing and developing AI solutions.
