Market Analyst
to join our global Market Intelligence team in Renewable Products.
In this global role, you will focus on renewable diesel (RD) and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) market analysis in existing and future markets. More precisely, your work consists of RD/SAF and renewable fuel credit market supply and demand modeling, competitor and regulatory analysis. You will work closely with your own team members and with a global network of colleagues, including Sales, Trading, Commercial Steering, Strategy and Public Affairs, directly supporting Neste’s profitability and strategic decision-making.

The primary location for the role is at the Neste headquarters in Espoo, Finland, but Amsterdam (Hoofddorp), the Netherlands, can also be considered.

Your role in our team

Developing and maintaining quantitative supply and demand models for RD/SAF and renewable fuel credit markets

Conducting competitor and regulatory analysis, staying constantly on the pulse of markets, prices, margins and competition

Delivering world-class analysis through sharp, clear communication to drive impact creation among internal stakeholders

Acting as a subject matter expert in your field toward the broader Neste organization and within the Market Intelligence team

Other tasks, e.g. ad hoc assignments, participation in strategy work, when required
Desired skills, capabilities and experience
-
A master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. economics, finance, industrial engineering, or other quantitative business degrees)

At least 2-4 years (for a more senior role, 5+ years) of experience in quantitative market analysis or tasks heavily incorporating market analysis; a genuine interest in this type of work is essential

Prior understanding of the wholesale fuels business or commodities is beneficial, and knowledge of the biofuels industry is a significant advantage

Highly analytical problem solver with a system thinking ability and strong business acumen, including basic financial literacy

Excellent spreadsheet modeling skills; capabilities in data management and programming are further assets

Strong communication with fluent English to thrive in a heavily cross-cultural environment

Proactive, positive, solution-oriented growth mentality and a strong work ethic, with the ability to self-manage one’s priorities in a dynamic fast-paced environment

Responsible attitude and safety-oriented mindset
As the role is global with stakeholders located across various time zones, occasional flexibility regarding working hour allocation will be needed.
Seniority of the role can be adjusted to reflect your prior experience and skills.
