Process Data Analyst, Advanced Refining Solutions at Renewable Products Refining

Are you a process expert with a passion for data? Do you want to be at the forefront of digital transformation in the renewables industry? We are seeking a dynamic Process Data Analyst to join our Advanced Refining Solutions team in Espoo or Turku. In this pivotal role, you will act as the bridge between our complex refining processes and the power of modern data analytics, turning operational data into tangible value. 

Your primary mission will be to champion the successful rollout of a self-service analytics platform, empowering our engineers and operators to make faster, smarter, data-driven decisions every day.

Your role in our team

  • Champion & Deploy: Lead the successful implementation and adoption of our process analytics solutions within the Renewable Products organization.

  • Empower & Train: Act as the go-to expert and coach for our engineers and operators, training them to leverage analytics tools for their daily challenges.

  • Analyze & Solve: Translate complex operational problems into data-driven analyses, performing root cause analysis to improve process efficiency, reliability, and safety.

  • Visualize & Report: Develop intuitive dashboards and KPIs (e.g., for Overall Equipment Effectiveness) to provide clear visibility into production performance and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Innovate & Improve: Proactively identify opportunities where data analytics can create significant business value, from optimizing yield to reducing production losses.


Keys to success in this role

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Solid experience within a process industry environment (refining, chemicals, or renewables is ideal). You understand the language of the plant, from P&IDs to process tags.

  • A genuine passion for technology and data. You are fluent with digital tools and eager to master new analytics platforms.

  • Experience with industrial time-series data and analytics tools is highly valued.

  • You are an excellent communicator and a natural teacher, capable of translating complex data insights into clear, actionable advice for your colleagues.

  • A curious and proactive problem-solving mindset.

  • Familiarity with a numerical scripting language (like Python) is a strong plus, but not a requirement.
