We are looking for a

Public Funding Specialist

to join our Technology Evaluation & Partnerships team in Espoo, Finland.

Our team has three responsibility areas, technology evaluation & advisory, idea management and public funding. Neste has successfully pursued public funding opportunities within a competitive landscape, and secured a significant amount of positive funding decisions. Our team is responsible for planning, application writing, reporting and negotiations of grants and we are now strengthening the team with a public funding expert focusing on the reporting of the received funding.

 

Your role in our team

 

In this role, you will 

 

  • Manage the internal and external reporting of a variety of publicly funded projects focusing on EU Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I) funded projects

  • Compile financial reports, coordinate the auditing of publicly funded projects and develop and implement best reporting practises

  • Lead financial reporting and related communications with funding authorities and other external stakeholders

  • Advise and support R&D&I project managers in e.g. change situations and related reporting systems

  • Other public funding and reporting activities

 

You will work closely with Neste Business Units, Finance and Procurement functions  as a part of Technology and Innovation Unit in developing and executing best grant management practices.

 

The best combination to succeed in this role

 

  • MSc in a relevant field

  • >3 years work experience in the area of public funding in industry, academia, funding authorities, consultancies or accountants

  • Good knowledge of EU R&D&I funding frameworks and related contractual obligations

  • Experience in grant reporting and audits or accounting

  • Experience in SAP or other reporting systems

  • Capability and willingness to work in an advisory role

  • Fluent English language skills
