Public and Regulatory Affairs Manager
to our Public and Regulatory Affairs, Feedstock team in Espoo, Amsterdam or Brussels.
You will focus on influencing policies and laws that impact our renewable raw materials, their acceptability, and classifications.

Key Responsibilities in our team

Regulatory Analysis: Analyze regulatory landscapes and emerging scenarios to identify opportunities and risks related to Neste's feedstocks.

Regulatory Intelligence and Translator: Serve as a central source of regulatory intelligence and translator of that information for various internal stakeholders across Neste.

Legislative Assessment: Conduct detailed assessments and clarifications of legislative or technical texts and requirements, preparing analysis for further organizational review.

Advocacy and Position Building: Contribute to developing Neste's official positions by providing necessary advocacy messages, building supportive arguments, and ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders.
Other responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and implement proactive and reactive strategies for stakeholder management to promote acceptance and access for Neste's feedstocks

Other tasks: Support the feedstock team's broader tasks as needed, including supporting other Public Affairs (PA) teams and organizing internal training sessions.
Keys to success in this role
-
Master’s degree in relevant field (e.g., technical, chemical, agronomy)
-
Over 5 years of experience within the renewable feedstock value chain and/or its associated regulatory frameworks
-
Technical understanding of renewable feedstocks and/or fuels. This includes knowledge across the entire value chain, from sourcing and processing to final product use and market application.

Familiarity with relevant national, regional, and/or international legislation, regulations, and industry specifications governing renewable feedstocks and fuels (e.g., sustainability criteria, life cycle analysis and chain of custody methodologies, quality standards, mandates).

Ability to manage and navigate an expanding scope of increasingly intricate regulatory matters concerning renewable feedstock across a set of geographical markets.

Proven understanding of legislative processes, including the ability to identify critical windows of opportunity for effective advocacy.

Existing or capacity to establish and nurture relevant professional networks

Excellent communication and influencing skills (written and verbal) in English

Responsible attitude with strong attention to detail and ability to quickly grasp the relevant information in technical/ legal/ regulatory texts and assess the business impact

Experience in designing, implementing, and executing proactive regulatory strategies that align with business objectives and anticipate future legislative trends

Understanding of the complex and diverse stakeholder landscape, including policymakers, regulatory bodies, industry associations, NGOs

Hands-on experience in effective advocacy, consensus-building, and communication to promote the organization's interests and facilitate favorable regulatory outcomes.

Proficiency in any of the following languages is considered a plus: Finnish, Dutch, French, German or Swedish.
