Risk Analyst, Middle office

to join our Supply & Refining Middle office team in Espoo.

Are you interested to see how Commodity market risks are analysed, hedged and monitored? Do you enjoy solving complex problems and playing with numbers? Our team of experts is based in Espoo and works within Neste Corporate treasury and risk management function. We are responsible for designing and implementing commodity risk monitoring and control and commodity derivatives post trade processes.

You will work closely with sales and hedging teams to support their decision making by following market risk exposures, calculating financial impacts, and ensuring market risk compliance. You will also have an important role by ensuring correct internal practices and controls are followed. Together with your expertise, we can do meaningful work to drive Neste forward.

Your role in our team

• Analyse commodity trades and monitor market risk exposures

• Follow agreed hedging strategies and risk limits

• Monitor daily MtM movements of selected business activities

• Work on the improvement of existing processes in collaboration with other teams

• Solve complex cases related to commodity risk exposures
  
  

Keys to success in this role

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in relevant field

• Previous experience (summer jobs included) working with market risks in the fields of commodity, energy or banking is seen as advantage

• Good understanding of commodity and derivatives risk exposures

• Strong communication and collaboration skills in English, both written and verbal

• Analytical mindset and problem solving skills

• Excellent team working capabilities

• Responsible attitude with a safety-oriented mindset
