We are looking for you, 

Summer trainee, Business Steering

to our Business Steering & Chartering department in Renewable Products. You will be based in Espoo, Finland and be part of two global teams, Commercial Steering and Market Intelligence. The common objectives of the both teams is to maximize Renewable Products financial performance and to support strategic decision making, for example through pricing and margin analysis, and rigorous analysis of markets and competition for our renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel businesses.

Your role during the summer

You will support your teams and other Neste stakeholders through getting the opportunity to deepen your own expertise particularly in pricing and market analysis, which are major drivers supporting right commercial decisions to maximize our profitability.

As a Summer Trainee, Business Steering your work will likely be a combination of an individually driven project assignment and being part of the everyday work taking place in Commercial Steering and Market Intelligence teams. While the exact tasks will be defined by the future business needs over the time of your employment, your scope will definitely include supporting pricing, market analysis and data management topics. You work together with a variety of stakeholders from all around the global Neste organization, notably across our own department and the broader Renewable Products business area.

The best combination to succeed in this role

• You are currently studying or have studied finance, economics, industrial engineering or another quantitative focused business major

• Excellent communication skills in English

• Motivation to learn and deepen your knowledge in market analysis, pricing and data management

• Analytical number oriented skillset, with demonstrated experience from spreadsheet based modeling

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, cross-cultural global environment

• We also value earlier work experience from similar topics but it is not mandatory

The job is located in Keilaranta, Espoo, with excellent transport connections. Currently we work regularly at least three days a week at the office to ensure seamless collaboration and sense of belonging.

The position follows the collective agreement for senior salaried employees. If you are in the early stages of your studies, the minimum starting salary is 2350 EUR. Your salary will also depend on relevant work experience and, for students, the number of completed course credits. We welcome applications from both current students and those who have graduated after 1st January 2025. Please note that you must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment. The summer job typically takes place between May 1 and September 30, 2026.
