Summer Trainee, Cloud Solutions

to our Shared IT Services and Platforms department’s Cloud Solutions team in Espoo. We are a team of 9 professionals dedicated to managing the operations and full lifecycle of shared IT services and solutions aiming to provide best possible enterprise value.

Your role during the summer

You will support your team and get the opportunity to deepen your own expertise in IT platforms & services and cloud solutions with overall optimization and cost management focus through several cases.

As a Summer Trainee, Cloud Solutions your tasks will focus on formulating proposals for improvement actions, cost optimization and documentation improvements. Firstly, you will be gaining a basic understanding and overall view of the Neste IT platforms&solutions and drivers for IT costs & optimization. There onwards, you will be focusing on analyses and producing improvement and cost optimization proposals and actions for the solutions as well as documentation on the side. You will be working based on pre-defined case studies on different areas in cloud & on-prem environments, but also new interesting tasks may arise and you can affect your own work along the way by bringing new ideas.

You work together with Cloud Solutions team members on the case studies and collaborate with other Neste IT members in order to acquire information for the analyses and proposals.

The best combination to succeed in this role

• You are currently studying or have studied IT, Information Systems Science, Business Administration or similar field
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Eager to learn and deepen your knowledge in IT platforms and Cloud solutions management and cost optimization
• Analytical thinking, good communication skills, keen on documentation and optimization focused mindset
• Some experience of handling and analysing large data quantities using MS Excel, Google Sheets or similar tools would be an advantage
• We also value earlier work experience or gained understanding with IT infrastructure, servers, storage, cloud resources etc., but these are not mandatory

The job is located in Keilaranta, Espoo, with excellent transport connections. We work regularly at least three days a week at the office to ensure seamless collaboration and sense of belonging. 

The position follows the collective agreement for senior salaried employees. If you are in the early stages of your studies, the minimum starting salary is 2300 EUR. Your salary will also depend on relevant work experience and, for students, the number of completed course credits. We welcome applications from both current students and those who have graduated in 2024. Please note that you must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment. The summer job typically takes place between May 1 and September 30, 2025.
