Summer Trainee, Commodity Derivatives Operations

to our Commodity Derivatives team in Espoo. We are a small team of professionals dedicated to taking care of commodity derivatives post-trade processing.

Your role during the summer

As our trainee, you will support your team in the following areas and get the opportunity to deepen your own expertise in among others: 

• Operative tasks within the area of deal capture, position reconciliation, handling of trade confirmations 
• Manage invoicing and settlements 
• Month end reporting tasks
• Regulatory reporting

On a daily basis, you will handle the above mentioned routines, and we encourage you to contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ideas, which you can implement with your team's support.

The best combination to succeed in this role

To be successful in this role, we expect you to be at the final stages of your studies in Economics, Finance or Accounting or similar, relevant field. You also have some experience of Back Office work. We are looking for a trainee with excellent communication skills in Finnish and English, motivation to learn and ability to participate in both operational and development tasks.

The job is located in Keilaranta, Espoo, with excellent transport connections. We work regularly at least three days a week at the office to ensure seamless collaboration and sense of belonging.

The position follows the collective agreement for senior salaried employees. If you are in the early stages of your studies, the minimum starting salary is 2300 EUR. Your salary will also depend on relevant work experience and, for students, the number of completed course credits. We welcome applications from both current students and those who have graduated in 2024. Please note that you must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment. The summer job typically takes place between May 1 and September 30, 2025.
