Your role during the summer
As our Summer Trainee, you will support the Chartering Department in Espoo on daily vessel operations. In your role, you will handle among other things all time charter shipping operations for the vessels operated by Neste Shipping and all the relevant tasks related to it. You will be involved in performance follow-up of the vessels for optimization and reporting. You will work closely with vessels, customers and other internal and external stakeholders like supply chain management, trading operators, ship brokers, agents and terminals, shipping invoicing team and claims & demurrage team. Your tasks will include instructing the vessels regarding cargo transportation and following-up the fulfillment of transport and time charter agreements.

To be successful in these roles, you have studies in maritime, logistics or a similar and relevant area.

The job is located in Keilaranta, Espoo, with excellent transport connections. Currently we work regularly at least three days a week at the office to ensure seamless collaboration and sense of belonging.
The position follows the collective agreement for senior salaried employees. If you are in the early stages of your studies, the minimum starting salary is 2350 EUR. Your salary will also depend on relevant work experience and, for students, the number of completed course credits.
We welcome applications from both current students and those who have graduated after 1st January 2025. Please note that you must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment. The summer job typically takes place between May 1 and September 30, 2026.
