Summer trainee, Global Financial Services

to our Global Financial Services (“GFS”) department in Espoo location. We have a comprehensive agenda that spans across our entire business and countries. The GFS consists of 60+ finance professionals based in Espoo, Finland. We are responsible for managing finance operations globally to Neste companies such as 

• Accounts Payable

• Accounts Receivable & Collection

• Asset Accounting

• General Ledger Accounting & Reporting

• Payments

Your role during the summer

You will support your team and get the opportunity to deepen your own expertise in finance. A summer trainee position in GFS is a hands-on role focused on gaining practical experience from finance operations. GFS Finance trainees process finance transactions relating e.g. to vendors, customers, master data, fixed assets, lease assets, payments, journal entries and interfaces. You may support projects, perform ad hoc type of tasks and complete selected finance close and reporting tasks. In this role you will work closely with GFS colleagues, vendors, customers and other internal stakeholders.

Your flexibility to do a variety of daily tasks is needed. Previous experience in finance related roles is seen as an asset.

The job is located in Keilaranta, Espoo, with excellent transport connections. Currently we work regularly at least three days a week at the office to ensure seamless collaboration and sense of belonging. 

The position follows the collective agreement for senior salaried employees. If you are in the early stages of your studies, the minimum starting salary is 2350 EUR. Your salary will also depend on relevant work experience and, for students, the number of completed course credits.We welcome applications from both current students and those who have graduated after 1st January 2025. Please note that you must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment. The summer job typically takes place between May 1 and September 30, 2026.
