Summer trainee, IT Infrastructure and Cloud

to our IT Platforms department’s IT Infrastructure and Cloud team in Espoo location. We are a team of 10 professionals dedicated to managing the operations and full lifecycle of IT infrastructure services and cloud solutions aiming to provide best possible enterprise value.

Your role during the summer

You will support your team and get the opportunity to deepen your own expertise in IT Infrastructure and Cloud solutions through a wide variety of cases from all areas of the Neste IT Cloud and Infrastructure environments.

As a Summer Trainee, IT Infrastructure and Cloud Solutions you will firstly familiarize yourself with the colleagues and their areas of responsibilities such as IT management of networks, servers, public cloud, data platform, integrations, virtualization, access management and robotic process automation. You will be gaining a basic understanding and overall view of the Neste IT Infrastructure and Cloud platforms & solutions. Thereafter you will get tasks from different areas. You will be guided by your colleagues and specialists from IT network and integration areas.

You will be working based on pre-defined cases on different areas in both public cloud & on-premises environments, but also new interesting tasks may arise and you can affect your own work along the way and bringing fresh ideas is highly valued.

You work together with IT Infrastructure and Cloud Solutions team members on the case studies and collaborate with other Neste IT members in order to acquire information for the analyses and proposals.

The best combination to succeed in role the following skills are a benefit:

• You are currently studying or have studied IT, Information Systems Science, Business Administration or similar field

• Excellent communication skills in English

• Eager to learn and deepen your knowledge in IT infrastructure and Cloud solutions management

• Analytical thinking, good communication skills, independent and collaboration working skills

• We also value earlier work experience, proven interest or gained understanding with any areas of IT infrastructure, networks, servers, public cloud, data platform, integrations, virtualization, access management and robotic process automation etc., but these are not mandatory. Hands on technical or developer skills are not needed.

The job is located in Keilaranta, Espoo, with excellent transport connections. Currently we work regularly at least three days a week at the office to ensure seamless collaboration and sense of belonging.

The position follows the collective agreement for senior salaried employees. If you are in the early stages of your studies, the minimum starting salary is 2350 EUR. Your salary will also depend on relevant work experience and, for students, the number of completed course credits.

We welcome applications from both current students and those who have graduated after 1st January 2025. Please note that you must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment. The summer job typically takes place between May 1 and September 30, 2026.
