Summer trainee, IT Project and Portfolio management 

to our IT RP (Renewable Products) Department team in Espoo, Finland. We are a team of 27 professionals dedicated to manage and develop the solutions for Neste Renewables Business Unit.

Your role during the summer

You will support your team and get the opportunity to deepen your own expertise in IT Portfolio and Project management. 

As a Summer Trainee, you focus on improving the user guidance related to Project Management tools, support the users with their daily tasks related to the Project Management tools and identify the development areas linked to the tools we use. You work together with RP IT Portfolio Lead and with colleagues especially in RP IT, but also in the entire IT-unit and with our Business stakeholders.

The best combination to succeed in this role

• You are currently studying or have studied Information Systems or a similar, relevant field.

• Excellent communication skills in Finnish and English

• Motivation to learn and deepen your knowledge in the area of project and portfolio management. 

• Some experience of project management and the usage of project management tools is seen as a benefit. 

• We also highly appreciate systematic way of working, ability to learn and adapt new things quickly, proactive working style, collaboration skills and ability to also work independently. If you have taken courses linked to usability, that is seen as a benefit.

• We also value earlier work experience in the area of project management or portfolio management, providing user guidance, supporting users and budget management, but it is not mandatory

The job is located in Keilaranta, Espoo, with excellent transport connections. Currently we work regularly at least three days a week at the office to ensure seamless collaboration and sense of belonging.

The position follows the collective agreement for senior salaried employees. If you are in the early stages of your studies, the minimum starting salary is 2350 EUR. Your salary will also depend on relevant work experience and, for students, the number of completed course credits. We welcome applications from both current students and those who have graduated after 1st January 2025. Please note that you must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment. The summer job typically takes place between May 1 and September 30, 2026.
