Summer trainee, Purchaser

to our Procurement team in Espoo or Kilpilahti. We are a team of professionals dedicated to Professional Services, IT, Utilities and Chemicals purchasing.

Your role during the summer

• Purchasing of Professional Services, IT, Utilities and Chemicals, including executing Request to Pay (R2P) process
• Preparing request for quotations and purchase orders
• Maintaining supplier and contract data in procurement system
• Supporting stakeholders and suppliers in procurement system and invoicing related issues
• Have a chance to participate in different types of procurement development initiatives according to your competence and interests

The best combination to succeed in this role

• At least two years Bachelor’s degree studies in engineering or business or other similar field
• Good communication skills in Finnish and English
• Previous experience of Procurement
• Good collaboration and negotiation skills and spirit of a team-player
• Good skills in typical office IT applications

We also value

• SAP or Coupa or similar Procurement tools knowledge is an advantage
• Process oriented and meticulous working style with a proven ability of problem solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and adapt into changing situations

The job is located either in Espoo or Kilpilahti, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki. On weekdays, we organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas. More information here. 

The position follows the collective agreement for senior salaried employees. If you are in the early stages of your studies, the minimum starting salary is 2300 EUR. Your salary will also depend on relevant work experience and, for students, the number of completed course credits.  We welcome applications from both current students and those who have graduated in 2024. Please note that you must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment. The summer job typically takes place between May 1 and September 30, 2025.
