Sustainability Manager
to join our global Supply Chain Sustainability Team at Neste’s HQ in Espoo, Finland.
Neste’s Sustainability is a corporate level function with sustainability professionals based globally in various office locations in Europe, the Americas and APAC. The team is responsible for managing sustainability related strategic supply chain initiatives and providing support in implementing sustainability into our business.

As a member of the Supply Chain Sustainability team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we manage global sustainability due diligence across the company while ensuring its effective implementation. In this role, you are expected to combine strategic insight with the hands-on implementation of due diligence practices, focusing especially on social sustainability.
Your role in our team

Develop and implement sustainability due diligence processes across the entire company, in line with international frameworks, stakeholder expectations and regulatory requirements

Conduct sustainability risk assessments and create risk mitigation strategies, applying a risk-based approach to prioritize and resolve impacts in alignment with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights

Develop the sustainability audit framework and other supplier engagement activities to mitigate sustainability risks across the value chain

Collaborate with procurement and other relevant stakeholders to integrate sustainability due diligence practices into global operations

Participate in selected projects to coordinate cross-functional, global initiatives, where you act as a sustainability expert in due diligence and social responsibility and build awareness internally and externally
The best combination to succeed in this role

A Master’s degree in Sustainability / Business / Supply Chain Management or other relevant field or equivalent experience

5+ years of strategic experience in corporate sustainability, with a focus on sustainability and global supply chain management

Deep working knowledge of sustainability due diligence frameworks and regulations, including EU CSDDD, UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, and understanding of human and labor rights and ILO conventions

Strong background in supply chain sustainability and establishing processes to mitigate sustainability risks in a corporate context is a must

Proven track record in project and people management, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and the ability to drive results

Fluent writing and presentation skills in English, as the job includes interaction with key stakeholder groups and working as a part of our global, cross-functional team. Other language skills are appreciated
