We are looking for you,

an experienced Commercial Operations Coordinator to join our Commercial Operations team in Geneva.
 

You will be a member of the dynamic Commercial Operations team involved in the day-to-day commercially proactive planning, implementation and optimization of the commercial contracts. You apply the operational processes in a solid manner in executing the shipments by vessel, barge, rail and trucks from contract conclusion to invoicing.
 
Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are:
 

  • Day-to-day management of individual operations, contract execution, inventory monitoring and reconciliation. Preparation and execution of blending operations. Understanding and applying existing processes, procedures and guidelines to their operations
  • Timely and accurate data entries for all contracts and inventory
  • Utilizing Celonis, SAP and Power BI reports daily, supporting and overseeing their activities
  • Early involvement in deal, offer, contract preparation with internal and external stakeholders
  • Delivery planning
  • Knowledge and understanding of the contracts we operate, possessing understanding and awareness of contract pricing, hedging and exposure
  • Optimal contract performance and problem solving
  • Responsible for quality and quantity monitoring, including loss control
  • Self-leading and proactive in giving contract enhancing recommendations, problem solving and  technical knowledge to traders, sales-, supply managers and supply chain
  • Participation in designated project and process development work 
  • Responsible for operational Month end closing activities
  • Guiding and sharing knowledge with relevant stakeholders as well as substitution of colleagues
  • Other possible responsibilities and tasks assigned by the management
  • Acts as an example and is a forerunner in the team in implementing change, supporting team members with workload, contributing to team spirit, working in a proactive and enthusiastic manner 

 
You will work closely with external customers, cargo inspectors and logistics suppliers. Your main internal stakeholders include sales and supply managers, supply chain planners, finance, laboratory etc. to ensure high level customer and supplier experience. Our work combines commercial understanding with accuracy and cooperation as well as the desire to develop and renew. Working safely at all times is essential to all of us.
  
The best combination to success in this role:

  • Extensive knowledge of the oil and renewables industry
  • Experience in international commodity business, operations, inventory, logistics and various modes of transport ( bulk and non bulk )
  • Knowledge of operations workflow and efficient ways of carrying out operations
  • Preferably a minimum of 5 years experience within commercial operations
  • Comprehensive ERP system knowledge, previous SAP experience is an important advantage
  • Ability to understand Neste business models and processes in the bigger picture
  • Good and proactive communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluency in written and oral English, preferably also local language skills
  • Performance and result driven 
  • Accuracy and attention to details
  • Commercial awareness - ability to understand drivers of a commercial trade and associated p&l.
  • Flexibility in changing areas of work, covering and working according to tempo in international oil and renewable markets
  • Ability to work under pressure, cope with constant changes, hectic and demanding work environment
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant area, e.g. from business or technology / or significant post qualification experience
  • Supportive and flexible team player
  • Swiss Citizenship, Swiss valid working permit or EU Citizenship
