Jr Renewable Fuels Trader
We are looking for a highly motivated, analytically sharp, and commercially-driven individual for the role of Junior Trader to join our team EMEA Renewable Fuels Trading team based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Your part in Neste’s journey
Reporting to the Head of EMEA Renewable Fuels Trading, you will be joining our growing and exciting business in the Renewable Products sector. You will be part of a highly driven Renewable Fuels Trading team responsible for sales of renewable diesel and aviation fuel from Neste´s own production alongside with expanding 3rd party trading capabilities to drive value creation and EBIT improvement within Neste.
Your role is designed to support the trading desk and will focus on developing trading skills through specialized market intelligence, price analysis and price risk management activities.
You will be responsible for:

Price risk management and hedging: Execution of hedges and contribution to hedging strategies.

Physical Trading: Negotiate physical renewable fuels contracts with selected counterparties and create new business opportunities.

Market & Price Analysis: Contributing to EMEA Renewable Fuels trading strategy by maintaining and developing rigorous price analysis and market intelligence.

Analytical Tools & Data: Maintaining, developing, and analysing key trading databases, and creating robust analytical tools that provide a competitive advantage for the trading desk.

Cross-Functional Support: Serving as the key analytical link between different internal stakeholders
The experience and competencies to succeed in the role
-
Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g. finance, business, engineering)
-
Strong understanding of the biofuels industry and its drivers. Previous physical biofuels trading experience is a plus
-
Solid understanding and experience of hedging and other risk management techniques. Previous derivatives trading experience is valued
-
Good negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills to drive negotiations and trading opportunities forward externally and internally.

Advanced Excel skills and robust analytical skills mandatory

Experience in models development, programming (e.g. VBA, JAVA, Python) and maintenance of database

Proactive, innovative attitude, ability to solve problems and drive clarity in a fast paced environment is needed

Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail, focus on accuracy of information

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, any other language is a plus
-
Swiss Citizenship, Swiss valid working permit or EU Citizenship.
