At Neste US, we are now looking for a Commercial Operations Coordinator for renewable feedstock supply. You will join our expanding, continually developing and exciting business and be part of an international team based in Houston, Texas.

The Commercial Operations Team coordinates all operative and logistics matters in renewable and petroleum product shipments, as well as takes care of customer service function and terminal operations.  This position reports to the Operations Manager and is a team member involved in the day to day execution of supply, sales and trading operations associated with deliveries by marine and land.

 

You will work closely with external and internal counterparties globally. Our work combines accountability, cooperation, and the desire to develop and renew. 

 

Main responsibilities in this role
 

  • Daily operations of supply and sales cargo movements for term and spot contracts. The main purpose of these tasks is to independently coordinate cargo movements related to physical oil contracts – from planning of the delivery to invoicing
  • Coordinations of terminal operations and inventory management
  • Daily cooperation with suppliers and vendors in the areas of commercial operations, delivery planning and scheduling, invoicing and payments, quality monitoring, sustainability documentation and other daily operational matters
  • Coordination of commercial matters with sales, legal, logistics, technical support, finance, risk management and other internal stakeholders

 
Keys to success in this role


The best combination of experiences, skills and background is 
 

  • Degree in business or similar studies, and/or several years of experience in a corresponding position in the petroleum industry
  • Good understanding/knowledge of the petroleum industry as a whole
  • Experience in commercial cargo operations and with different modes of transportation in international oil trade is a benefit
  • Knowledge of renewable fuels and raw material supply is a plus
  • Hands on with different IT-systems, experience with ERP systems (especially with SAP and terminal systems e.g. TABS), Google office products and Salesforce is a plus
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, other languages are an asset
  • Strong team player and excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as customer service attitude
  • Attention to details; accuracy in daily operations is a must
  • Behavior according to company values in all situations and understanding common goals
  • Stress-resistant personality and good problem solving skills
  • Systematic and energetic approach to work and positive attitude
  • This position requires excellent cooperation skills, ability to interact and work in an international environment (different cultures, values and time zones) as well as an open mind (attitude) towards work tasks and work environment
