Martinez Renewables is a Joint-Venture between Marathon Petroleum and Neste.  We produce renewable fuels, including but not limited to renewable diesel and propane, using organic fats, oils, greases, wastes and residues as input feedstocks.

 

We are looking for a Feedstock Coordinator at our Renewable Fuels facility at Martinez, California.

Job Summary:

 

The Feedstock Coordinator will be part of Optimization team responsible for optimizing and managing the end-to-end feedstock to products value chain for Martinez Renewables. This position will have responsibilities for managing and scheduling feedstock deliveries to Martinez Renewable Fuels facility. The Feedstock Coordinator will work closely with refinery operations team to enable optimized production, as well as with Marathon Petroleum and Neste organizations ensuring adequate and timely feedstock deliveries to the facility.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordination of feedstock scheduling to Martinez Renewables refinery by rail and by vessel directly to Avon Martinez or through 3rd party terminals (at Richmond and Stockton)
  • Coordination of feedstock rail movements and optimization of the utilization of rail terminals
  • Communicating railcar delivery plans with suppliers (Marathon Petroleum and Neste, the two Parent organizations)
  • Reporting and reconciliation of railcar deliveries
  • Supporting barge scheduling from 3rd party terminals to Avon Martinez
  • Managing feedstock inventories at Martinez and at 3rd party terminals
  • Provide backup support to the Feedstock and Product Control Coordinators
  • Supporting new feedstock evaluations (PMOC)

 

Results Expectations:

  • Managing feedstock supply to ensure optimized utilization of refinery, and therefore maximize value
  • Timely and clear guidance on feedstock delivery plans to refinery operations, terminals, and Parents’ operative organizations

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.  Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the refining or petrochemical industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Prior experience in ERP and/or scheduling tools preferred.
