We are looking for a Head Of Business Development Americas, Renewable Polymers & Chemicals to lead our Business Development activities for Renewable Polymers and Chemicals  in Houston-Texas

 

The Head of Business Development Americas is primarily responsible for leading the Business Development activities in the Region by identifying business growth opportunities. The principal objective is to work with industrial customers to reduce their carbon footprint by developing and providing renewable and circular feedstock solutions. The team will consist of new Business Development and Strategic Asset Development Managers to be brought onboard as we expand our activities in the Americas.

 

Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future include:

  • Lead the Business Development activities in Americas in renewable polymers and chemicals and related initiatives;
  • Identify and Assess Production Partnerships, Joint Venture, M&A and Other Opportunities for the sustaining the growth of Renewable and Circular feedstock in Americas;
  • Building sustainable and economically viable value chains (from Plastic Waste up to Circular Feedstock upgrading) for the implementation of Circular Feedstock solutions in Americas;
  • Lead the identification of new capacity projects in the field of Liquid Waste Plastic (LWP) and LWP Upgrading in Americas;
  • Ensuring collaboration with internal and external functions and organisations for successful technology commercialization;
  • Building partnerships with external EPC service, technology providers and petrochemical/refinery partners
  • The Head of Business Development Americas  is responsible for leading the Neste RE renewable and circular solutions’ Business Development in Americas, reporting to the Vice President of Business Development.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering (chemical engineering would be preferred) or equivalent years in relevant experience
  • 8-10 years of work experience, including international experience 
  • 5 years in Leadership roles 
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in leading technology development, licensing, assessment and execution of potential opportunities for partnerships, joint Venture and M&A
  • Solid track record of managing and leading complex partnerships.
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on mentality and a creative mindset


We also value

  • Fluency in English is a requirement, German or other European languages would be beneficial
  • Team player with multicultural skills gained after direct personal experience of getting things done in complex, international, matrix environments.
  • Previous experience in sustainable projects and especially in circular economy field will be a strong plus
