Legal Counsel

We are looking for a Counsel to assist our Legal team in Houston.
We have a small team of experts working in our Legal team. Our team is responsible for ensuring that we are compliant with existing regulations, are protected as a contracting entity, and are able to support new and existing businesses as they grow organically or through acquisition.
You will work closely with all our teams in the Americas, particularly in sales, supply aviation, and contracts to ensure that we can keep building and growing Neste’s presence in the Americas.
Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are

Support the Head of Legal, North America with respect to the drafting, review and negotiation of supplier and sales agreements, non-disclosure agreements, corporate guarantees, service contracts, amendments to existing agreements, general terms and conditions, and other contractual matters.

Assist with major transactions and/or acquisitions

Assist the Head of Legal, North America with other projects as needed, including with respect to litigation and dispute resolution, human resources matters, corporate transactions, regulatory and compliance issues, and general health and functioning of the legal department.

Draft notice letters and corporate legal correspondence as needed.

Give accurate and timely counsel to key stakeholders and executives across the business on a variety of legal topics.

Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations as requested.

Perform legal research as necessary.
The best combination of experiences, skills and background is

3-5 years of transactional or contract review and drafting experience
-
Strong communication and collaboration skills in English, both verbal and written - other languages a plus

Interest in renewable energy
