We are looking for a
Manager Brand Owners Americas
to join our Renewable Polymers and Chemicals (RPC) Value Chain Development team in Houston, TX, USA. Neste RPC is a fast growing new business and is recognized as a trailblazer in transforming the Chemicals and Polymers industry to becoming more sustainable by replacing the need for fossil feedstocks.
We have a team of experts working in Brand Owner Management. Our team is responsible for creating demand for renewable and recycled chemicals and polymers at sustainability specifiers: plastics converters and large global brand owners like Unilever, Henkel, Ikea and many others.
Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are
- Supporting the rapid growth of Neste Business for Renewable Polymers and Chemicals
- Identification and understanding of the growing and diverse Brand Owner (BO) needs regarding sustainability
- Creating and maintaining the relationships with Brand Owners and converters in the chemicals and polymers industry
- Managing the BO business funnel: qualify leads, establish contacts, grow business
- Key Account Management with selected Strategic Brand Owners
- Developing the delivery system for RPC to satisfy the needs for sustainable solutions/products of brand owners and converters
- Developing ‘loyalty/stickiness’ for Neste based products with Converters and Brand Owners
Organization & external stakeholders
This role will report to the Head of Brand Owner Management, Value Chain Development, Neste RPC. You will work closely with the Renewable Products and Chemicals organization, Public Affairs, Legal and other Neste Support functions. External stakeholders include Brand Owners, Converters and other external stakeholders.
The best combination to success in this role
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Business, Chemistry, etc. preferably with environmental or sustainability focus) or sufficient relevant work experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience in the chemical industry and/or experience in downstream industries
- Experience in setting up and coordinating production partnerships to create a reliable downstream supply chain
- Experience in commercially oriented roles such as key-account management, sales, sourcing or business development
- Ability to build & run commercial processes (e.g. funnel management)
- Understanding of Brand Owners in different industry segments
- Commercial acumen
- Driven by a strong sense of purpose to make the business of our customers more sustainable
- Brings a network of Brand Owners, Converters and/or in the Polymers and Chemicals industry
- Value and value-chain understanding
- Able to build networks, collaborate and drive results
