We are looking for you, Risk Manager, Middle Office to our Market Risk & Middle Office team in Houston, Texas.
You will focus on monitoring, controlling and reporting processes and procedures for commodity market risks concerning our growing North American based business activities. In this job, you will work closely with our sales and supply teams as well as with colleagues in European Middle office teams. In our team, you will be part of a global expert organization, delivering value to our stakeholders and internal customers. Your role in our team
-
Develop guidelines, procedures and tools for commodity risk monitoring, control and reporting in North American context in collaboration with the global process owners while considering both the business and regulatory requirements.

Perform commodity market risk monitoring, control and reporting with a focus on specified regional markets.

Monitor the regional regulatory requirements for management of commodity derivatives and facilitate discussion with the business and process owners to translate external requirements into internal guidelines and process controls.
Keys to success in this role
-
Master’s degree in a relevant field (eg. Finance, Financial Risk Management)

Several years of experience in Middle Office or Commodity Risk Management and solid understanding of related processes and systems

Good understanding of commodity market risks and transactions (physical & derivatives)
-
Solid understanding of financial derivatives regulation concerning commodities
-
Experience of financial trade execution platforms and respective trade flow monitoring and control solutions

Previous experience in control and monitoring development on financial derivatives trading

Fluent written and spoken English

Good communication skills and a collaborative approach

Strong self-leadership skills

Structured way of working
Other strengths we value

Previous experience of CTRM systems (eg. Allegro or other similar)

Previous experience in working within an international corporation
