We are looking for a Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas.

 

We have a small team of experts working in Regulatory and Supply Chain Compliance. Our team is responsible for understanding and ensuring compliance with the regulations in the US markets in which we operate our businesses.  We are responsible for Compliance starting with the feedstocks we source and continuing through the supply chain all the way to the finished fuel we sell.  We also provide guidance and subject matter expertise for new projects/new business models, development and support of system tools, training of internal stakeholders and reporting to regulators.  

 

Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are

  • Support and file regulatory reports to State and Federal government agencies

  • Provide review and oversight of data related to the procurement of feedstocks, sales of renewable fuels and the operations related to our refineries.

  • Work with internal and external constituents in order to ensure compliance 

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise on the Renewable Fuel Standard, Low Carbon Fuel Standard, Clean Fuels Program, and other regulations related to our businesses

  • Provide training & support to other internal teams

 

You will work closely with Supply Managers, Operations, Sustainability, Public Affairs, Planners, and Sales internally as well as Regulators, Consultants and Outside Counsel externally  to ensure end to end Compliance and support our growing business in the US and abroad.  You will be part of the Global Supply Chain Compliance team which consists of 30 individuals in Europe, Asia and America. You will report to Angela Ruble, Supply Chain Compliance Manager - Americas

This role is for a person who has fundamental knowledge and experience with the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (reporting and pathways), the Renewable Fuel Standard (RINs and EMTS), and other regulatory requirements related to the production and sale of renewable fuels.  As part of the team, you will play a key role in ensuring the compliance for the company across several key markets and regulatory compliance programs

We also value 

  • Working knowledge of the transportation sector, knowledge of the refinery process/production and sale of renewable fuels, and/or the energy industry

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a compliance or operations related role within the industry; audit experience a plus

  • Positive and proactive attitude/approach to work
