We are looking for a finance professional to join our Neste organisation as Finance Manager, Australia and join our Regional Finance team in Melbourne..
You will focus on ensuring timely and accurate reporting of the financial results of the entity and ensuring an entity that is compliant with local legislation and has strong internal controls. In this job you will work closely with the finance team both in APAC but also in the Head Office in Finland to cover the full finance spectrum in the country. You will also work with the General Manager and business team in Melbourne on a day to day basis.
The team in Australia has a critical role in ensuring feedstock supply from the Australian market, especially to our Singapore refinery which has recently been expanded to meet the growing global market demand for low-carbon solutions in transport and cities, aviation, polymers and chemicals.

Your role in our team / in creating a sustainable future

Be accountable for timely and accurate reporting of the entity

Be responsible of the functioning of daily finance processes of the entity
-
Control and coordinate financial and statutory matters of the entity with the internal Global Financial Services team and external service provider.

Coordinate entity’s financial closing tasks with the internal Global Financial Services team and external service provider

Ensure accounting policies and procedures are followed and documented
-
Develop our accounting processes while also being able to perform certain routine tasks by yourself

Develop entity’s reporting processes

Review and analyze company financial reports and results

Prepare and present Quarterly Business Review Content through agreed KPI’s

Prepare rolling financial forecasts for Group reporting if required

Be a solid and trusted finance partner for the General Manager and other internal stakeholders, for instance assist management in the formulation and follow up of its overall strategic direction

Together with the General Manager ensure the general compliance of the company (audits (statutory and possible internal), legal compliance with regional legal function, risk management, overview tax and customs issues as well as certain other compliance processes)

With the support of Legal, manage company legal structure and appropriate annual company documentation with external service provider

Cash flow forecasting and management with our Treasury department

Maintain banking relationships together with our Treasury department

Actively participate in the local rollout of different IT systems

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accountancy

Minimum 10 years of related finance work experience

Solid financial accounting and reporting knowledge

Strong analytical skills and concern for quality

Very strong understanding of IFRS and local tax/regulatory rules

Good working knowledge on ERP/accounting system, Google and Microsoft tools
-
Excellent collaboration, communication, and influencing skills
-
Ability to work independently as well as in a team

Ability to influence others without a formal position

Meticulous and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
