We are looking for a Chief/Lead Engineer for Pressure equipment engineering

to join our Mechanical Engineering team in Porvoo, Finland.

You will work closely with our engineering disciplines to strengthen engineering in different process and energy industry projects globally and externally with our equipment vendors and customers. Our work combines accountability, cooperation, and the desire to develop and renew.

The job is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki. We organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas.

We are looking for a Pressure equipment professional with a profound knowledge in reactors, vessels and other pressurised equipment and solid experience in leading equipment deliveries in international process industry projects.

Your role in our team 

  • Act as a Pressure equipment expert to strengthen our group of Lead and Chief Engineers in a global Mechanical Engineering team.

  • Support projects in accordance with your expertise in all refinery locations globally.

  • Take the Chief/Lead Engineer's responsibility within challenging, rewarding and diverse international process and energy industry projects. 

  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance as a technical expert for all production sites.

  • Participate in bid preparation, vendor negotiations, execution planning and cost estimates of our projects.

  • Share and develop your deep know-how and technical skills along with close collaboration with our partners and global resources such as material-, process-, civil-, layout & piping departments. 

The best combination to succeed in this role 

 

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a similar education.

  • Several years of working experience in project work and deep understanding of various types of reactors, vessels and heat exchangers and their specific applications within oil and gas processes.

  • Knowledge of design principles and performance characteristics as well as understanding of operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures for reactors, vessels, heat exchangers and other pressurised equipment.

  • Experience of relevant standards, such as EN, ASME, API and TEMA and safety regulations applicable to Pressure equipment in hazardous environments.

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation such as Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), Machinery Directive (MD) and ATEX Directive.

  • Experience in the areas for example detail engineering, manufacturing, NDT-testing, expediting and commissioning.

  • Experience of PV Elite, VVD, Aspen, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCad

  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written, is essential. Proficiency in Finnish will be considered an asset.

  • Team player with leadership skills and technical authority.
