Development Manager

for Investment Projects and Portfolio Team in Porvoo Refinery.

Join a team that drives the transformation of our Porvoo refinery and Harbours and Terminals. We ensure timely and efficient use of capital by long-term investment portfolio planning and by leading the front-end loading of investment projects. As a Development manager you will manage a refinery production line investment portfolio and lead projects through their development phases within your area of responsibility. Typical investments leverage data and technology to support decarbonization, boost production and quality, upgrade infrastructure and ensure equipment reliability.

The job is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki. We organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas.

 Your main responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short and long-term investment plans in collaboration with investment owners
  
  

• Prioritizing and validating development ideas together with stakeholders
  
  

• Specifying and setting clear targets, scope, concept and schedule to enable efficient execution of investment projects
  
  

• Leading Pre- and Feasibility study phases in projects
  
  

• Manage and monitor investment portfolio project costs and performance 

You will work closely with production and asset management to define business objectives for investments. In cooperation with project managers you will lead project teams to successful implementation. Working safely at all times is essential to all of us!

The best combination to success in this role

• Applicable technical bachelor’s or master’s degree (chemical or process engineering)

• Several years of relevant work experience in industry or industrial projects with process industry preferred

• Strong cooperation and team working skills with customer-oriented attitude

• Capability to influence and lead towards agreed goals

• Fluent written and spoken Finnish and English skills

• Previous experience in investment management, with project leading experience
