We are looking for two,
Fuel Product Researcher,
to join our Technology and Innovation, Diesel and Heavy products team in Porvoo Kilpilahti, Finland. These are fixed term substitutions until summer 2027.
In this role, you will be an integral part of our team, providing support to our R&D projects focused on fuel products. You will collaborate closely with our skilled fuel experts, contributing to groundbreaking advancements in the field. This position offers an opportunity for professional growth and to develop yourself into a versatile fuel product specialist. Furthermore, it provides an excellent platform for extensive networking, enabling you to build meaningful connections with internal and external stakeholders of Neste.

Your role in our team

Work as an innovative expert of renewable and fossil fuels

Supporting both renewable and traditional fuel businesses.

Provide advanced expertise for R&D projects and internal stakeholders

Drive experimental research by planning, organizing, and leading internal analysis work from start to finish.

Work closely with internal stakeholders, actively communicating and collaborating with them

Proactively sharing your knowledge and expertise to help the team succeed.

Research of chemical properties of fuels, including their operating and performance characteristics
Keys to success in this role
The best combination of experiences, skills and background is
-
Master's degree or higher in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
-
Strong background in Chemistry, preferably 2 years of relevant work experience from R&D

Experience on working in cross-functional teams and coordinating the work

Cooperative team player attitude with excellent social skills

Fluent written and spoken English

Ability to actively seek solutions and innovate
We also value

Experience and knowhow of fuel product chemistry and applications,

Knowledge of organic chemistry is considered an advantage

Experience of leading projects
