Global Process Owner, Manage Plant Investment Projects

to our Investment Processes and Continual Improvement team within the Investment Project Competence Center.

In this role, you will focus on designing and developing the capabilities to take the capital investment project management process to the next level by integrating the business process with project delivery and Neste’s investment project system. You will work closely with our Project Excellence team, Neste’s global project planning and execution teams, as well with the key stakeholders both in businesses and in functions.

We integrate data analytics, quality management system, as well as capability, and continual improvement with culture development and communication.

The job is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki. We organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas. We support a hybrid model, requiring at least three days per week at the office to ensure seamless collaboration and a strong sense of belonging.

As the Global Business Process Owner, your goal is to turn our level 1 "Manage Plant Investment Projects" process into a high-performing backbone of our capital investments that is aligned with Neste's investment project system. You will reduce complexity and focus on what truly matters - collaboration, flow, and data-driven improvements.

• Renew Process Architecture: Simplify the current framework and facilitate the mapping of process and information flows to ensure clarity. Help connect process development and continual improvement.

• Establish Data-Driven Practices: Set and monitor KPIs, conduct annual maturity assessments, and drive a prioritized development backlog.

• Build the Process Network: Build a process owner network and manage a large number of stakeholders.

• Drive Governance: Contribute to Level 0 business process “Manage Investments” governance, build business cases to secure resources and commitment for process development.

The best combination to succeed in this role

• Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. in business, technology, or other relevant area

• Experience: 5+ years of full-time professional experience preferably within energy or process industry

• Process expertise: Strong experience in designing, measuring, and simplifying global stage gate processes

• Creating clarity: Ability to simplify complex organizational frameworks into clear, scalable process flows

• Data fluency: Ability to define business process KPIs and conduct maturity assessments to drive a development backlog

• Facilitation skills: Experience in leading cross-functional workshops to map value streams, information and process flows

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to build commitment to new ways of working

• Mindset: Analytical, performance-driven, co-operative, and safety-oriented.

Other strengths we value

• Experience specifically in capital investment projects

• Familiarity with process modeling tools and methodologies

• Lean Six Sigma know-how (e.g. Green/ Black Belt certification)

• Change Management and the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization
