Instrumentation Lead Engineer
to our Instrumentation Engineering team in Porvoo, Finland.
You will play a key role in driving instrumentation engineering across Neste’s capital investments within our Investment Project Delivery organization. In this job, you will work closely with highly skilled multidisciplinary project teams, refinery personnel, equipment vendors, and engineering partners. Depending on your background, you may also act as an owner representative on major strategic projects, guiding EPCM contractors and safeguarding Neste’s interests.

In addition, there is an option to work part of the office days from Neste’s headquarters in Espoo.

Your role in our team

Lead instrumentation engineering across versatile investment projects from early studies through final site execution.

Ensure high technical quality and safety for all instrumentation engineering deliverables, aligning with project scopes, schedules, and budgets.

Drive continuous improvement of our technical specifications and work processes while expanding your own leadership and technical capabilities.

Opportunity to serve as an owner representative on major strategic projects, steering and reviewing EPCM contractor engineering.
Keys to success in this role

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.

Proven track record in instrumentation or automation engineering.

Leadership capability, whether demonstrated through previous project leadership or a clear motivation to step into a lead role.

Strong collaborative mindset with the ability to build trust across multidisciplinary teams and external partners.

Fluent communication skills in English; proficiency in Finnish is a plus.

Proactive, safety-first attitude and sound technical judgment.
