Lead Engineer, Electrical

to our Engineering, Electrical team in Porvoo.

You will focus on Electrical Engineering activities in the industrial projects in the refinery environment. In your work you will execute, lead and coordinate Electrical Engineering design activities in multidiscipline projects. In this job you will work closely with designers from other disciplines, project management and coordination organisation and operation&maintenance organisation from the refinery.

Our team is part of the Investment Project Execution and Governance (IPEG) organisation. In our team, you will work on multiple projects and make sure that requirements of the design are met. Together with your expertise, we can do meaningful work to drive Neste forward.

The job is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki. We organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas.

Your role in our team

  • Prepare and/or check electrical engineering and procurement documents, procedures and specifications 

  • You will produce the execution planning and cost estimates for Electrical Engineering area

  • You will also control and monitor the work of our partner engineering companies in your projects

  • Cooperate with own and other engineering disciplines and projects to achieve the project targets

  • Take part in developing our procedures, instructions and design tools.


Keys to success in this role

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) 

  • Several years of experience in the field of industrial electrification or similar from the areas like power distribution and substations, process/field electrification, electric heat tracing, low current systems like fire alarm systems, communication systems etc.

  • Ability to work in Finnish and in English

  • Responsible attitude and safety-oriented mindset

  • Knowledge of national and international standards of electrical engineering.
