We are looking for you,

 

Manager, Project Management

 

to our team located in Neste Engineering Center of excellence in Porvoo, Finland.


This is a career opportunity for you, who has already proven yourself in Project Management and now is looking to move forward. In this role, you will use your own experience to coach Project Managers to achieve the project targets, develop/implement work processes and act as a line manager for a team of approximately 10 Project Managers.


You will focus on refinery projects outside of battery limits (OSBL). In this job you will work closely with Project Managers, Solution Development and refinery personnel. In our team, you are an important stakeholder on the way to change an entire refinery towards carbon neutrality. Your role in our team 

 

  • Line management of a team of Project Managers, including recruitment
  • Coaching Project Managers to achieve project targets
  • Project portfolio KPI analysis, reporting and corrective actions
  • Other duties consist of project review activities (stage gate process), process development and implementation and competence development.

 

We work where we are most productive and therefore offer flexible opportunities for working. To promote cooperation and a sense of belonging we have agreed on face to face meetings with the team 1-3 times per week depending on the situation.

 

The job is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki. We organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas.  

 

Keys to success in this role 

 

Education and experience that we look for:

 

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Several years industrial related project management experience in an international EPC/EPCM environment
  • Project Management studies and certification such as PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP) or International Project Management Association (IPMA) level "C" or "B"

  • Excellent leadership, management, engagement and communication skills
  • Business orientation - takes ownership and initiative
  • Team player; cooperation and stakeholder management skills are a must
  • Genuine interest for staff and their wellbeing to unleash the hidden potential
  • Effective communication skills in English (mandatory) both verbally and in writing; other language skills are an advantage

 

Other strengths we value 

 

  • Refinery turnaround experience
  • Understanding of engineering, procurement and Construction Management disciplines/interfaces
  • General understanding of contract administration, business principles and business law
  • Cost and schedule management skills (including basic skills with scheduling software).
