We are looking for you,
Engineering Manager
to our Project Engineering Managers team in Porvoo, Finland.
Your main role is to act as an Engineering Manager in various demanding technology and investment projects and programs within the process industry. Focus of our project portfolio is on renewable products and circular solutions also covering the hydrocarbons and petrochemicals industry. Experience of process industry investment projects is essential in this position.
You will have a key role in the project (s) to deliver projects safely, predictably and efficiently. Neste projects can be from any of Neste production sites including Finland, Singapore and the Netherlands. Generally, work will need more presence at the office or project site and partially remote working is possible. This may vary depending on the project assignment (s).
You will work as a member of a project management team being responsible for the technical result of the project. Key tasks include engineering scope management, leading the project core engineering team, managing the schedule, resource planning, financial performance and change management of the project. Together with your expertise, we can do meaningful work to drive Neste forward.

Your role in our team

Leading a multi-disciplinary design team of lead engineers of the project(s) or program

Project technical result management
-
Project management activities focusing on engineering, such as schedule and cost control, resource planning, scope, safety/quality and change management, constraint management

Ensure all design & engineering activities meet or exceed engineering standards with regard to quality, cost, safety and performance

Leads technical integration and successful management of engineering interfaces including equipment package unit(s)

Lead complex equipment package unit(s) as required in the project

Ensure design & engineering interdisciplinary, quality reviews as required at different phases of the project
You will engage in active communication with various project stakeholders and collaborate with engineering disciplines as well as business area management. You will have a direct reporting relationship with the Manager of Engineering Management. In the project organisation, you will be in close cooperation with the project manager and report to him/her in day-to-day activities. In addition to the project work, you will contribute to development and continual improvement activities of Engineering Management work practices, tools, lessons learned etc.
The best combination to succeed in this role

Several years of industrial project engineering management experience within chemical, process industry or energy sector

Knowledge of investment project methods /phases and gate reviews

Experienced in managing EPC, EPCM /Owner’s team project engineering including stakeholder collaboration

Know-how of general requirements for the plant design in process industry

Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar education

Willingness to lead and manage with a proven track record of results

Good spoken and written skills in English

Responsible attitude and safety-oriented mindset

Project management experience from the process industry or a project management certificate

Willingness to travel and possibility to relocate internationally will be appreciated
