Project Manager, Investment Projects


to join our project management team of the OSBL (Outside of Battery Limit) portfolio in Porvoo and in our domestic terminals. The investment projects are complex and multidiscipline and the investment project sizes differ.


In your role as a Project Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the objectives of the project are fulfilled and targets of the project are met. In this task your responsibilities will include leading and managing the project team, project scope and change management, resource, time and cost management. Strong networking and communication skills are necessary to ensure efficient communication and information sharing between internal and external project stakeholders.

Your role in creating a sustainable future

  • Manage the projects according to Neste’s own project execution model safely in compliance with agreed project scope, schedule, cost and quality

  • Lead the engineering successfully also with new partnership model

  • Lead the project team which consists of project control, engineering, procurement and construction professionals 

  • Lead possible changes and/or deviation processing during different project phases

  • Drive for project management best practices and efficient communication in order to meet Key Performance Indicators, create seamless and goal oriented teamwork in projects and with the external stakeholders

  • Report projects' status according to Neste’s agreed principles

  • Ensure that the investment project execution fulfills the requirements of Finnish legislation and authorities’ required permits (e.g. building permit)

 

 

Keys to success in this role

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Extensive experience in industrial related project management and EPCM/EPC environment

  • Project management experience at least for 3 years

  • Strong leadership skills and experience in leading people in a matrix organization

  • Solid experience in collaborating, influencing and engaging diverse, internal and external stakeholder groups 

  • Key Performance Indicator driven attitude, competitive and ambitious mindset

  • Capability to work independently

  • Effective communication skills in English and Finnish

  • Responsible attitude and safety-oriented mindset

 
Other strengths we value

  • Project Management studies and certification such as PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP) or IPMA C certification

  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Understanding of procurement’s contracting terms and conditions, business principles and business law

  • Previous experience from process industry with a strong project background of managing demanding international projects
